Good Evening, Family, PrayerPartners & Friends!

God STILL is in the house at
Valley Cowboy Church and we have exciting news to share!

As most of you know, we have been meeting in a wonderful church building located in downtown Glasgow, VA, a small rural town situated about halfway between the towns of  Buena Vista and Buchanan.

The church itself is a lovely brick church, built in 1888 and remodeled in 1947 and then again updated around 2005. It has a large fellowship hall, a sanctuary that will seat 150, a baptismal pool in the sanctuary, 2 separate classrooms, a full kitchen and a pastor’s office.

The sanctuary is perfectly suited for our worship services, musicians and small concerts. Many of you have been blessed to visit or become a part of our Church Family and have seen some of the wonderful, sometimes miraculous events that have happened as we've worshiped, prayed, cried & rejoiced together within these walls.

The original asking price for this structure was $125,000 and was reduced in August reduced to $85,000. The county assessment for this property – it is on 4 small city lots – is $203,500.

Yesterday, the realtor called and told us that the owners would like to offer the property to us on an "owner-held" mortgage basis. We offered $4,250 down with a balance due of $80,750 financed at 4%. The owners agreed and today, we signed the initial purchase contract. All told, counting insurance, closing and the down payment, we are looking at $5,600 due by next Friday, April 30, 2010.

We have prayed both in the church building and about the church building, as well as God's leading for us to use it to His purposes. We feel that the use of this church building is in God's plan. We know that many of you have prayed with us and felt the same way.

Now we are asking for your help, both in prayers and finances.  We ask you to pray about this church building and about the work that can be done there in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We ask you to pray for us, personally, as we take this huge leap of faith as stewards of this property and as Pastor Cliff steps out to lead the Church Family down this new path.  Then we ask you to help with a donation.   If there are any of you reading this who feel led to contribute financial support, please know that we welcome any financial blessings you may feel led to contribute.  All donations are 100% tax deductible. Please send your contribution today...time is short! We must have all the funds in by NEXT FRIDAY,
APRIL 30, 2010!   Your contributions can be sent to:

                                        Valley Cowboy Church

People saved, an old-fashioned river baptism, awesome worship services....God hasn't missed a Sunday! Please help support us as we do the Lord's work at Valley Cowboy Church. We ask that you keep us ~ both personally and as a Church Family ~ in your prayers. Please feel free to share this information with anyone you can think of.  We will be sharing news of this incredible opportunity to serve the Lord as we progress. Let us know what you think!

We love you all and look forward to hearing from you!

In His Service,

Pastor Cliff & Kristen
